NOW HIRING!!! Desert Choice Transportation is currently seeking applications for Director of Operations. Additional information as follows:

Desert Choice Transport, LLC (DCT) is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and manage the daily operations of a dynamic student transportation company in the Phoenix area. The primary role of this position will be to ensure that the business is efficiently and “safely” operated. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of the student transportation industry with strong leadership skills to manage the people resource assets as well as the transportation assets.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day operation of the business

  • Supervise staff and provide coaching to support employee growth

  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures and policies according to organizational objectives and implement processes to further the success of the operations

  • Develop plan for new business development and management of contract renewals

  • Manage RFP and proposal process required to secure new accounts and maintain existing business

  • Oversee customer support processes and organize to enhance customer satisfaction

  • Review financial information with managing members and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors

  • Evaluate overall employee and business performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics

  • Ensure that the company is in compliance with all regulatory and industry/governing bodies.

Experience

  • Proven experience as Director of Operations or similar position

  • Knowledge of industry’s legal regulations and guidelines

  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. operations, finance, customer service etc.)

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

  • Familiarity with MS Office and transportation industry software. 

Job Details:

  • Southeast Valley location primarily with occasional work from home when schools are not in session.

  • Starting annual salary $60,000 -$70,000 DOE
