Fleet Director/Diesel Mechanical

Desert Choice Transport is a rapidly growing private business that specializes in student transportation in Arizona. We are looking to add an internal diesel mechanic to our team to develop and maintain a fleet program for our growing operation. Desert Choice Transport currently operates 45+ diesel school buses and 20+ gasoline Vans. The fleet is regionally located throughout the valley in Phoenix, based off of its service area.

This position would be Fleet Director; they would oversee the maintenance, repair and expansion of the current fleet as needed. They would develop and use existing tools to track the associated costs and maintenance of the fleet to provide feedback on efficiencies and areas of concern. This position would also serve as the primary diesel mechanic within the company, operating out of a service vehicle and setup, designed by the this individual to meet their needs and designed to service vehicles throughout the Valley. High volume or time extensive jobs would be scheduled out to other repair companies and dealers as needed.

The Fleet Director needs to be an ambitious mechanic looking for an opportunity to grow into management as we grow as a company. Ideally, this position will develop into a department head that oversees a team of mechanics and fleet management personal as the fleet grows. The position is a salary position with benefits and year round employment.
