Chandler Unified School District is seeking a School Bus Driver Trainer Classification: Classified Job Title: Bus Driver Trainer Reports To: Director of Transportation Calendar: Bus Driver Trainer Position Type: Full-Time 12 Month Salary: $22.8 to $23.96 Per Hour Core Job Functions: Develop and deliver comprehensive classroom instruction on safe driving practices, Arizona traffic laws, school bus regulations, and emergency procedures. Conduct behind-the-wheel training for new and experienced drivers, focusing on safe operation of school buses, route navigation, and passenger management. Provide ongoing training and refresher courses to maintain driver skills and knowledge. Evaluate driver performance and provide constructive feedback to improve skills and safety. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, evaluations, and driver certifications. Ensure compliance with all Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) regulations and standards for school bus drivers and transportation. Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and best practices for school bus transportation. Promote a culture of safety and responsibility among school bus drivers. Conduct pre-trip inspections of school buses to ensure safe operating conditions. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
